Background
Lavendla is the leading player in the digital funeral industry. Founded in 2014, it has more than 150 advisors connected to its platform, with local advisors in both Sweden and Denmark.
Objective & challenges
We aimed to improve the backlink profile and domain authority of Lavendla.se by acquiring high-quality backlinks from news sites. The objective was to increase Lavendla's visibility on Google and enhance brand awareness, ultimately boosting traffic and sales for the business.
One challenge was that Sweden's high standards in press ethics made it difficult to get journalists to provide external links. Additionally, digital PR is resource-intensive and required creativity and value addition to attract media readers and achieve success.
What we've done
We gathered and combined data from SCB (Statistiska Centralbyrån) for 2022 by looking at the number of 100+ year olds living in various regions of Sweden. We aimed to create a positive angle with a 'feel-good value'. This campaign highlighted the positive trend of Sweden’s increasing average age. We created both national and region-specific press releases to better suit each publishers.
